The Olympic medallists Guillermo del Riego, Narciso Suárez and Enrique Miguez are among the eight candidates for the Hall of Fame 2020 in Piragüismo Spain, whose popular vote begins today with a relationship of candidates in their second edition that complete Joaquín Larroya, Juan Miguel feliz, Belén Sánchez, Joaquina Costa and María Eizmendi.
Through the website of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, fans will be able to vote from today until December 24, to a maximum of 5 of the eligible athletes who they consider deserve to be part of the Hall of Fame... in parallel to the popular vote, the members of the expert committee will individually value the sports trajectories of the different palists to finally determine the new members.
The eight athletes nominated to enter the Salon de la Fama de Piragüismo Spain 2020 are: Guillermo del Riego (subchampion Olympic in Moscow 80 in K2 500), Narciso Suárez (bronze medal in the JOO of Los Angeles in C2 500), Enrique Miguez (bronze medal in the JOO of Los Angeles in C2 500), Belén Sánchez (component of the first female finalist vessel in JOO K2 500 Barcelona '92), Joaquina Costa (component of the first female finalist ship in JOO 500 (JO), JO '60 (member of the Spanish JO) who competed in Rome in the first Spanish JOO (JO), JO (JO) and JO '60 (member of the first Spanish JO), JO (member of the JO).
The five coaches nominated to enter the Hall of Fame of Piragüismo Spain 2020 are: José Montes (first Spanish esprint selector), (Ramón) Mon Urtizberea (first Spanish slalon technician), Vicente Rasueros (technician of the Tecnification programs and junior and technical teams in the Moscow JJOO 1980), José Seguín (integrated the technical team of the JJOO of Seoul 88) and Amando Prendes (founder and president of the club Los Gorillas de Candás, of which he was a mamater).
