The legendary boot Düsseldorf 2021 will be held from April 17 to 25. The original dates from 23 to 31 January could not be maintained due to high COVID19 infection figures across Europe. Messe Düsseldorf has postponed the 2021 appointment after a consultation with its partners and exhibitors who support this decision and have chosen the new dates. Announcing new dates in advance also gives the exhibitors planning security to prepare their participation in the fair and transport their ships and yachts.

Messe Düsseldorf's general director, Wolfram Diener, is convinced that the new dates for the Düsseldorf boot send a positive message to the industry: "At the present time, we cannot calibrate reliably if a fair can be held in January 2021. This is due to current infection rates, continuing travel restrictions and existing legal provisions that do not allow for the holding of fairs at present. In consultation with our trade fairs advisory board and associations we have selected the new dates in April with caution. The statements of many experts have led us to believe that the situation is very likely to calm in almost all European countries by the spring of 2021 because of the measures being implemented."
