The first delivery of the 54th Nautical Week reaches its final line, after the second day has closed today that has again had that strong Poniente wind that has come to overcome points of 30 knots of intensity, much conditioned the program of the committee. In spite of this, three tests have been closed for the Open Foil and one for all categories of the ILCA, while the Bic Techno and Raceboard have remained on the ground, so the podium squares are defined in the majority of the classes.
The Open Foil have been the first to go out in the water and the only ones that have closed the day with three tests. José Luis Boronat (CN Jávea), with partials of 1-2-1, remains leader with 6 points after discards. With 2 of difference is located Jorge Aranzueque (CN Santa Pola), signing numbers today of 2-1-2, while Javier Clement (CN Santa Pola) moves away from the posts, adds 16 points after concluding today with three third places.
The Bic Techno have remained ground today as a result of that strong wind. This class has only one completed test, the only one that could be held on the inaugural day. So the third and last day of the Nautical Week that will be held tomorrow Monday, December 7, will be key to knowing the podium squares. With this only test completed in Carlos Sánchez (CN Santa Pola), he commands in the BIC Techno Plus, while Carlos Mari (CN Jávea) and Andrea Sira Martínez (RCN Valencia) do the same in the SUB17 and SUB 15 respectively.
A very complicated day for the ILCA, which is why they have been able to complete only one test which, together with the two of yesterday, totals a total of three completed tests. In ILCA 7, the Altean Gonzalo Suárez (CN Altea) continues to impose its law. Today it has added a new partial triumph, three out of three, and it is left with 3 points. Leonardo Collado (RCN Calpe) is second with 7 points, while Antonio Carrillo (CN Altea) is third with 8 points. The camper Joan Ravie (CN Campello) caresses the title at the Nautical Week. The third triumph in Alicantine waters and increases its advantage to 10 points over its immediate persecutors: Raúl Santiago (CN Altea) and Antonio López (RCN Torrevieja), both are in that second square tied with 13 points.
For the third and last day, the top of the first test of the day is advanced, with the aim of being able to complete some more of the tests than provided for in the program... the scheduled closure for 4: 00 in the afternoon.
