The athletes and coaches nominated to be part of the Hall of Fame in this 2020 edition will be announced soon

The Spanish Federation of Piragüismo has launched the second edition of the Hall of Fame of Spanish Piragüism to select the members of 2020, which will be incorporated into the relationship of the 5 palists and the 3 coaches that make up it today.

The Hall of Fame of Piragüismo in Spain, created last year, is a space that aims to recognize the contribution of different personalities and to materialize the legacy of this sport... now we recognize the sports successes of five athletes (David Cal, Herminio Menéndez, José María Esteban Celorrio, José Ramón López Diaz-Flor and Luis Gregorio Ramos Misioné) and 3 technicians (Eduardo Herrero, Jesús Morlán and Luisa Alvarez), who have made a major contribution to the development of Spanish piragüism.

This second edition will again include two categories of members: sportsmen and coaches. The vote of the new members will begin at the beginning of December and the Pyragüism fans will be able to participate through the RFEP website.

In 2019, the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo successfully and highly welcomed the first edition of the Hall of Fame, which in 2020 will present the same categories; athletes (male or female palists, of the different disciplines of Piragüism and in individual or team participation) and technicians (all the male or female workers who have taught, promoted sport and contributed to their success in their different disciplines).

A Committee of Experts formed by professionals of the Pyragüism ecosystem (including the president of the Royal Spanish Piragüism Federation, Juan José Román Mangas) will start a process of pre-selection of candidates on the basis of minimum eligibility requirements... in early December a voting period will be opened for the community of pyragüism fans to vote, through the Federation's website, to those athletes who consider themselves to be part of the Hall of Fama in this 2020 edition... after a final deliberation, the committee of experts will give the new members of the Pyragüism National Hall of the Pyragüism to the two categories of the Pyragüism.
