"Marnatura 1" with Luis Bugallo to the reed of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, was proclaimed winner of the first act of the J70 Villalia Winter Series, which with the organization of the J70 Class and the olive nautical, was held in Galician waters this weekend. The young Galician patron with Enrique Freire, Gerardo Prego and Alberto Basadre of the crew curved a splendid Sunday after the second place on Saturday: 3rd -2nd -5th -1st, which led him to lead the winter series, pending the second act to be held also in the Ria de Vigo on the 19th and 20th of December.

The day was completely different from Sunday, with winds from the north-east that early in the morning (the competition began at 10: 00) marked 16 knots of speed. This was very rapid, to the extent that the judges achieved with a good performance to celebrate the maximum of allowed sleeves: four... in which they imposed "Noticia" (2), "Abril Verde" (1) and "Marnatura 1" (1).

The lead of the "Pazo de Cea" was little held up by Ramón Ojea, as in the first Sunday manga there was 9 °, while "Marnatura" with a 3rd was made with the lead, placing itself on the top of the table "Oils Abril," which was 4 °, "Noticia" that made first and the canary Luis Martínez Doresto that with "Mercedes Benz," which was the second.

The second manga of the day made it clear that "Noticia" was going for all, when he achieved another one, and that the struggle would be in between the Santanderino ship, the Vogués of Bugallo and the Orensian crew of the "Green April..." because another of the favorites "LaGuardia & Moreira" was 5th and 7th in the first two trials. For his part "Sogacsa" with Páramo to the cane, he sailed very fast... but not enough to fight with the first three. Later, "Red April," "Pazo de Cea," "Castrosúa" the Valencian "Leti t be" and the Coruñes of the "Solventis."

In the last manga, they jumped sparks and the regatta of the "Marnatura" (1) it was "Noticia" of Pichu Torcida, with a pinch... was 8th, and "Mercedes Benz Team" 7th... while "Sogacsa," "LaGuardia & Moreira" and "Aprilo Verde" made "the bed" to canteen-canaries and canaries-Catalans, which remained in the 3rd and 4th final square... the gold and silver for two Gallegos: the "Vigues of the" Marnatura and the "of the April." Now the word has the second act, but that will be very close to Christmas, in the magical waters of the Vigo Ria.

2020 / 11 / 21: "Pazo de Cea" takes the lead in the J70 Villalia Winter Series by Vigo

"Pazo de Cea" patroniado por Ramón Ojea del Club Marítimo de Canido; with Javier Porto, Rodrigo Ojea and Francisco Tourón as crew, is the leader of the J70 Villalia Winter Series, at the end of the first day that was held on Saturday in Galician waters, with the organization of the J70 Class with the collaboration of the Real Club Nautico de Vigo, in which they are participating units of this type from all over Spain... and that was distinguished by the little wind that allowed to complete only one of the four sleeves planned. For Sunday the second day of the race, starting at 10: 00 in the morning.

The participants are concerned about the wind prediction in the river of Vigo, and their fear became reality... because the wind when it blew did so in a very soft way: 6 knots of the north-east... which allowed hardly to complete a sleeve, and for that with four J70 that could not cross the line of arrival, within the time limit of regulation.

The fight was therefore tremendously technical and tactical, taking the best part five Galician crews, who took the first positions: "Pazo de Cea" by Ramón Ojea, "Marnatura 1" by Luis Bugallo, "La Guardia & Moreira" by Gonzalo Araújo and "Apro Verde" by the Orensano Luis Pérez Canal... leaving the sixth place for the great favorite: "Noticia" by Pichu Torcida del Maritimo de Santander, being the seventh of the heavy weights... "Mercedes Benz" with the canary Luis Martínez del Barcelona that were not to be left much more to be lost in this club.

After them another J70 of the Náutico de Vigo, the "Sogasa" of Sancho Paramo, who left the ninth place for "Solventis" that he had in this race with regatists of the Naval Commission of Regatas de Ferrol with Alejandro Alvarez Brasa as pattern... closing the "top ten" another of the City of Burgas... Jorge Pérez Canal, with "Red April."

With a more hopeful part, for the second day Sunday in which up to four sleeves could be held... so they will point out all because in no case will it be reached at six, which are necessary to be able to cast off the worst score... so the results of Saturday will be worth their weight in gold.
