The Director General of Sport of the Council of Education, Culture and Sport, Josep Miquel Moya, was also present at this meeting.

The Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Municipal Sports Foundation of València and the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Sporte have presented the reclassification of the Sports Program of Autonomical Tecnification of Vela in the Centre of Sports Tecnification "Petxina" (València) to the Sports Programme of State Tecnification of Vela in that centre.

After being catalogued the Autonomical Centre in 2019, on 4 November the Ministry of Culture and Sport announced in the Official Gazette of the State that, together with the cooperation of the Higher Council of Sports, the Centre was reclassified and would become part of the State sports programmes.

This appointment is very important for the sport of the Vela in the Comunitat Valenciana as it places Valencia as one of the centers where to develop the National Plans of Sports Tecnification of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela. In addition, it places us as a state reference centre where sportsmen, once the age has come to take a step further in their sports career, have at their disposal a centre where they can share training and studies, share experiences with other high-level sportsmen and have a multidisciplinary technical team to work with day by day.

It is no doubt a further step in order to be able to consecrate the future Nautical sports as a reference centre of the Sailing at the international level that shows the good weather, logistics and tourism conditions that València has. "La Comunitat Valenciana, and even more the city of València, are unbeatable places for the practice of nautical activities. It was therefore necessary that the Sports Technology Centre of the city of València be recognized at the national level so that more athletes dedicated to this sport have more opportunities. It is an honour for the FDM and the city of València to have this recognition in order to continue to bet on this sports discipline" concluded the President of the Municipal Sports Foundation and 4th Deputy Mayor of the City of Valencia Pilar Bernabé after her intervention in this press conference.
