The Organizing Committee of the 70 Ciutat Trophy of Palma de sala has decided to suspend the scheduled edition between 4 and 8 December and to postpone it to 2021 due to the situation resulting from the Covit-19 pandemic, as well as the restrictions in the Balearic Islands in the absence of less than a month for the race, which prevent the holding of sports events with more than 150 participants.
The Ciutat Trophy of Palma, the oldest sports competition in the Islands, usually brings together about 500 athletes of different kinds of light sailing from more than a dozen countries... the Organization considers that in the current circumstances the race would be defaulted, so it has chosen to postpone the celebration of the 70th anniversary to December 2021.
The Ciutat de Palma Trophy has been unabated since 1950, two years after the foundation of the Real Club Nautico de Palma... for more than a decade it has been considered one of the most important competitions of the children and youth sailing in Europe.
