El sistema permite además la recopilación de información en cualquier formato que se puede almacenar en una ‘caja negra’ a bordo para su análisis posterior, tanto para mejorar los sistemas de detección y respuesta, como para pruebas para las autoridades

The system also allows the collection of information in any format that can be stored in a 'black box' on board for further analysis, both to improve detection and response systems, and for testing for authorities

According to the Spanish Shipping Association, ANAVE... the International Maritime Organization (IMO), naval forces and several maritime organizations regularly publish guidelines and recommendations to help shipowners protect their ships against piracy; these guidelines indicate that it is essential to strengthen surveillance when sailing through high-risk areas to identify potential threats.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems can help predict, track and record an attack... AI is already successfully used in other fields of maritime transport, from ship operation to route optimization, through complex data analysis.

Through a greater 'situation awareness' (situational awareness), crews can have a complete understanding of the activities in the surrounding waters and more opportunities to detect and counter threats before it is too late. The IA systems make it possible to obtain such knowledge through data analysis and the creation of alerts.

One of these tools is' behavior analysis', to detect and recognize possible patterns of suspicious activities of pirates from previous incidents and additional information. Such identification is often complex, especially in the case of small sheds used by pirates and under conditions of limited visibility. The use of Track-Before-Detect radar technology, which amplifies the signals to capture every small detail in the maritime environment, allows to track and detect these sockets.

A detailed and real-time analysis of all the signals a ship receives from the environment will make it possible to distinguish a possible threat from other elements such as buoys, fishing vessels, etc.... If the IA determines that it is a threat, a crew alert and a whole series of devices are activated to repel the attack.
