Virtual Valencia Boat Show today has held its last three virtual meetings, in which it has brought together the largest in the world of sailing.

The Olympic Jordi Xammar and Florian Tritttel, members of the Spanish team of SailGP, one of the most spectacular tests in the world, the ocean regatist Didac Costa and The Ocean Race, the world round by teams, have been the protagonists of the day.

During its five days of celebration, Virtual VBS has managed to bring together shipyards, distributors, industry professionals, athletes, marines, nautical clubs, schools, tourist institutions, designers and race organizers on a single platform, accessible from anywhere in the world and from any device.

Gestado following the outbreak of the pandemic, this virtual nautical hall has allowed the sector to continue working, thanks to a technological platform that will be open all year, and in which companies can communicate their products in an attractive and visual way, through one of the most advanced technological implementations on the sector market.

So, what in March seemed like a utopia, to celebrate the celebration of the Valencian nautical hall in this complicated 2020, has become a reality of the joint work of La Marina València, Grupo Alfatec and the Union of Nautical Enterprises (UEN), and under the direction of Nacho Gómez - Zarzuela.

One of the great advantages of this virtual event is the possibility of being open all year round without generating additional costs to the exhibitor. In fact, one of the main attractions of Virtual VBS was precisely that: that once the event itself is over, exhibitors have 360 days to continue to display and sell their products.

2020 / 10 / 30: The "Olympic Oros" Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza at the Virtual Valencia Boat Show

The Argentine regatist has also analyzed the different Olympic classes and has not hesitated to point out that the candle must look for categories with many participants. "I think the Olympic world has to have something accessible and cheap for any country and any regatist. We need a voluminous category like the Laser, the Windsurfing or the Kite," said Lange.

Virtual Valencia Boat Show has become the digital meeting point for sea and nautical lovers. The competition led by Nacho Gomez-Zarzuela has been able to bring together virtually the most prominent of the high competition sailing worldwide, from regatta organizers to elite athletes, from nautical and marine reference clubs where great events are held.

This Friday, the afternoon has had two exceptional guests: the duo formed by Argentines Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza, a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, who have commented on their work routines, their sensations following the postponement of the Tokyo Olympic Games, and their preparation to navigate in the new Nacra17 mode with foils.

"I think it's brave to do a virtual boat show. It's very good to try to get out in some way of what we've had to live. I hope it is a success," Santi Lange reflected just to start his presentation.

"For me this we do is a choice, and what I like most is to be thinking about how to go faster," says Lange, who at 54 years old and after a cancer, managed to get the Olympic gold with Cecilia Carranza at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.

"The Nacra is the most demanding ship on which I have sailed in my sports career, especially at this stage with foils," said the Olympic, who has pointed out that, although he considers that his team is not the best in the fleet, he can be the champion "sailing intelligently."

The Argentine couple works hard to master a ship "much more challenging than the previous one" since in this new mode, the Olympic boat Nacra17 has a different orza and stones that allow it to rise over the water and navigate at high speeds.

"We are not especially good with specific conditions, but we are relatively competitive in all conditions," said the pattern, which has assured that "we are better at work."

On Sunday the Valencian living room devotes its events to the nautical competition... at 11: 00 SailGP will offer a meeting with the Olympic Jordi Xammar and Florian Trittel, who are also regatists of the Spanish team of this race of flying catamarans which is one of the most spectacular tests in the world.

At 12: 00, the turn of the ocean regatist Didac Costa, which is a week away from leaving for the second time in the Vendée Globe, back to the world by sailing alone, without assistance and without scales

The morning will end with a conference, which will be in English, by Samuel Piñeiro, CTO of The Ocean Race that will discuss the impact of technology and analysis on The Ocean Race.
