The Nautico de Vigo calls for presidential elections for December 4

The result of the balanced exercise, with a minimum gap of 22,000 euros, despite the pandemic that caused severe gaps in collection
The current board of directors of the Royal Nautico Club, chaired by José Antonio Portela, carried forward the accounts of 2019, with losses (22,000 euros) that were described as minors in view of the development of the year, the budget of 2020 (2.6 million euros) and announced the electoral calendar to declare new board of directors on 4 December, with votes fixed for Friday 27 November from 9 a.m. to 21: 00.
In an assembly with 19 partners present and 43 represented, the 2019 balance sheet received a single vote against and five abstentions, while the budget for the previous year was questioned by a single partner, with three abstentions.
In a long ordinary general assembly (one hour and forty minutes), with interpersonal distance, José Antonio Portela explained to the partners that at the departure of the creditor contest a very important cut has been made (from 5 million has been passed to 3.1), but that "we are expected three hard years" in which society will have to face the concentration of payments to creditors.
Portela, who has been on numerous occasions, both in his presidential report and in the answers to the doubts of the partners, said that the agreements have been reached by the "confidence that Abanca has had in our plan of viability," also asking the social mass to vote in support of a management that, he summarized, has considered "good."
The director, who reminded all the partners who died since the previous assembly, with Rodrigo Arbones, former, as the last name cited, explained that next day 29, Thursday, the Nautico will announce the call for elections. The potential candidates will have until 12-N to submit their list.
In his report to the attendees, José Antonio Portela explained that last year it was closed with this small loss because of two fundamental factors, the "fall of sponsorship," which went from 157,000 to 74,000 euros, and also because of the absence of aid that was planned with the departure of the competition just one year ago, but that several circumstances, including the death of the former president, Rafael Tapas, prevented execution.
The leader also recalled that the budget that is being implemented this year, which could not be presented earlier by the pandemic - but which has been put to the vote in time and form - keeps figures "very real. We find a pandemic, which forced us to delay the signing of the convention, and to close the facilities for two months." In fact, the club assumed "great losses caused by the cancellation of races, courses, sports and hotel events," he said. However, he expects benefits for this year (120,000 euros), saying that the numbers "are very adjusted," but he avoided speculating with the future "because unfortunately we have a great dependence on the evolution of the health situation, so making forecasts in the medium to long term would surely lead to mistakes."
Portela's speech also warned that in the period 2021-2023 there will be hard times: "The situation requires more than ever a strong control of expenditure, without all the superfluous, but always with the premise of not lowering the quality of the service, the activities or the maintenance of the facilities and on the other hand looking for new and different sources of income that given the situation of the Spanish economy will not be easy." He also encouraged and thanked "the selfless support that this board of directors has received at all times from all the workers of the club," as well as, questioned by partners, point out that "with the creditors one by one is talking to thank them for the takeovers. Also with many we continue to work, thus recognizing their efforts," he revealed.
