The Surfari Mar Menor 2020 is already a reality... following the cancellation in 2019 by the Dana and the severe floods that the Murcia Region, especially Los Alcázares, the committee was forced to leave this edition by 2020. A year that is also being very complicated by the situation of the Covid19, but after overcoming some small obstacles on October 31, it starts the twenty-second edition of the Surfari Mar Menor and although it will be special in many respects, among them only two days will be held instead of the usual three, as well as having had to change its usual date.
It will also be special for health safety measures. The organizing committee has made and will emphasize that all the health and social distance protocols, both those established by the RFEV and the CSD, as well as those of the FVRM and the CN Mar Menor Los Alcázares and those determined by the Region of Murcia and the City of Los Alcázares itself, are complied with.
But this is not going to be a handicap to reunite in that special environment such as the Minor Sea the best windsurfers in the national landscape, within the categories Open, Open Children, Slalom and Foil. A maximum of 100 participants in these four categories have been established for safety measures and compliance with health protocols.
The sports program is set on this occasion in just two days: Saturday, October 31 and November 1, with eight scheduled tests and the top of departure to the first test of the day set at 11: 00, provided the wind conditions so allow.
