Mazella certifies with authority her triumph in the Formula Kite Spain Series in Mallorca
Axel Mazella certified his victory in the Tuna Fish FKSS 2020 Mallorca with two more wins in the only two sleeves that were today in the waters of the S'Arenal Nautical Club. The French was accompanied on the final podium of the third test of the Formula Kite Spain Series by Russian Denis Taradin and Haitian Théo Ihostis. In the female category the final victory was for the leading European champion of the specialty, the Polish Julia Damasiewicz, who took the Spanish Gisela Pulido on the podium.
The world champion and current European champion, Axel Mazella, has given a true recital in the waters of Mallorca. In the FKSS 2020, the Galo has won two of the three trials held to date and made a second place in the initial race in Alarcón. In Mallorca his "dictatorship 'has been overwhelming. He has won eight of the ten sleeves and has never come down from the second place. He has had no rival and more when today in the first of the two sleeves that were being fought, his only enemy for victory, Russian Denis Taradin, made an offline that penalized him with a disqualification. Far from relaxing, Mazella made another regatta on the tenth manga to say goodbye to Mallorca with a great taste of mouth.
The last two sleeves were also severely curtailed by the third podium. Ihostis was fighting with the regatist who was running here for Cutty Shark, Alex Climent, for the last step. They were tied and left tied to points and only the unbound for seconds gave the Polynesian access to the final party.
In females the victory was for the current European champion, the Polish Julia Damasiewicz. He was in the top ten with the boys and took Gisela Polido 22 points in the general. Damasiewicz at only fifteen years has absolute control of the specialty and threatens to extend his reign in the coming years as he gets body and technique. "It has been a great experience to compete in Mallorca. It's an amazing place I've never been and it's very nice to sail here with these waters and the mountains so close. The week has been fantastic."
Damasiewicz was planning to go to Poland to rejoin the school, but the Covid has closed the classrooms in his country so they have changed the plans and remain for the race next week from 23 to 25 October in Formentera, the Fly Sardine FKSS 2020 Formentera. There you will see the faces again with Polido who explained: "I will stay a couple of days in Mallorca doing some tourism and on Wednesday we are already going to Formentera to prepare the rematch. Julia is the champion of Europe and she is a great competitor. I've won him in four of the sleeves and that's a lot for me. In Formentera there will be more wind than here and those conditions favour me more."
As far as the Master category is concerned, the final winner has been the Castilian Marius Pavel with a seventh final position. While in Grand Master the triumph was taken away by the Swiss Kari Eisenhut who finished thirteenth in the general.

2020 / 10 / 17: Mazella dominates Palma with six partial wins in the Tuna Fish FKSS 2020 Mallorca

Axel Mazella today founded a victory option at the Tuna Fish FKSS 2020 Mallorca, the third punctuable test of the Formula Kite Spain Series. The French regatist was the best in the waters of the CN S'Arenal in an authentic Kitefoil test marathon thanks to a south-west wind of 8 to 10 knots that entered at two in the afternoon and opened an ideal wind window to chain up to seven consecutive sleeves. After a small break, the fleet returned to the water and was able to do one more test with what at the end of the day were eight contested races.
Mazella, as expected, gave a recital in the complicated race field mounted next to the mouth of the CN S'Arenal. The world champion and current European champion of Kitefoil added up to six wins in the eight sleeves disputed and tomorrow leaves with a five-point rent on Russian Denis Taradin who was the only one who was able to steal two wins from him at the Saturday marathon. "It's been a very good day for me. I have loved to sail in Mallorca with these clean waters and a very reliable wind. We had a great time in the water today, though in the end we were a little tired because it's not normal to do eight competition tests in one day. I have a good advantage, but in the two sleeves tomorrow I have to go to the top so I don't give in. I really want to win this race in Mallorca," said the French Mazella at the end of the day.
The current Spanish champion and twice the FKSS champion, Alex Citation, who runs in Mallorca with the colors of Cutty Shark, recovered from a bad start of competition to face the third place of the general, although tied with the Tahitian Theo Ihostis, a deaf regatist. Between the two of them and the Polish Jakub Jurkowski, the Spanish Marius Pavel and the Spanish Astro-Spanish Simon Burnet will play tomorrow the third step of the podium.
In the female test the lead is for the young prodigy of the European kitefoil, the Polish Julia Damasiewicz. The 15-year-old girl, who has already astonished everyone in the European of the specialty played in August in Poland by doing with the continental scepter, takes 15 points in the general to Gisela Polido after the eight sleeves disputed. Damasiewicz was able to even scratch a fourth place on one of the sleeves which has an incredible merit. Pulido had a couple of races with poor results that have penalized him in the female general of the Tuna Fish FKSS 2020 Mallorca.
2020 / 10 / 16: Mazella and Polido defend their leaders of the Kite Spain Series Formula in Mallorca
Axel Mazella and Gisela Pulido defend their respective leaders in the Kite Spain Series 2020 Formula. From today on, the Tuna Fish FKSS 2020 Mallorca is celebrated with almost 30 participants gathered at the S'Arenal Nautical Club among them the two leaders of the Open category. The press conference for the presentation of the test was held today.
Palma has received the regatists with little wind. The two planned training sleeves could not be held today due to wind instability. Nor could the planned evidence of the new Wingfire class be disputed. For tomorrow the part is similar although it is expected that the seams can be started for the general classification.
The world champion, French Axel Mazella, reaches the S'Arenal race as the circuit leader after making a second position in Alarcón and winning in Castellón. Between the first two tests of the season and that of Mallorca, French has expanded its curriculum with the victory in the European Championship held in Polish waters last August.
In Mallorca, Mazella will have as main rivals Denis Taradin and the Spanish Alex Climent. The Russian is currently third in the general circuit while the Valencian is fourth, between the two there are only two points of difference in the general. Having confirmed Mazella will not be in Formentera the struggle between Denis and Alex will be without barracks to fight for the coveted final triumph of the season. A scepter that Citation has achieved in the two previous editions in which the Kite Spain Series has been held.
