There were no surprises on Saturday in Baiona and the crew led by the Vigo regatist Javier de la Gandara finally stood up for the J80 class Autumn League, which this afternoon held their last tests in the Bay of Baionese... aboard the Okofen, Javier de la Gandara, his sons Jaime and Javier, and Diego Fernández, the team's usual victories; they condemned a new edition of the Monotypes Championship of Mount Real Club of Yates, and did so again forcefully.

From the Gandara and his team thus revalidated the victory they had achieved at the beginning of the year in the Winter League of J80 and hung the laurels by taking up to 29 points the second ranked, the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez. Although in today's partials he resented quite a lot (with an eighth, a tenth and a sixth place), the Cansino managed to finish with 36 points and was made with the silver of the league.

The surprise of the classification came with the bronze, which finally came to the hands of the Alboroto of Juan Carlos Ameneiro, who with a third, a sixth and a second in the last day, managed to jump from the fifth to the third position of the general and close the podium of the championship with 40 points.

New victory of the "Okofen" by Javier de la Gandara in the Autumn League, which is organizing the Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona... which makes in the six sleeves held accumulate five first and a second... sufficient garrisms to be leader not outstanding... but very prominent in the general.

The Okofen of Javier de la Gandara, the Alboroto of Juan Carlos Ameneiro and the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez consolidate the first three positions of the Autumn League of J80 of Mount Real Club of Yates, which on Saturday reached its equator with the dispute of the second of the four days scheduled between October and November.

The 17 participating monotypes could only be held this afternoon one of the three tests provided for in the program, as the meteorology met the forecasts and left a hard Saturday at sea, with a south wind always above the 20 knots with rachas that were over 30.

Javier de la Gandara's Okofen was the first to cross the line of arrival, signing his first room in the competition. He was closely followed by the Alboroto of Juan Carlos Ameneiro, who arrived second and remained second to the provisional podium. The Spaco of Santiago Estevez was ranked third in today's day, but he did not manage to overcome in general the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez who, despite signing a seven-minute stand, continues with the bronze hanging on his neck.

Behind the Spaco - fourth - are the Ferralemes, of Rosario García, in fifth position; the New Moon of Juan Luis Tuero, in sixth; and the Miudo of Nacho Salgueiro, which goes seventh. The SND Cormorán of Francisco J Martínez today rose to the eighth position of the general.

2020 / 10 / 10: The J80 Fall League begins in Baiona with the domain of the "Okofen" of Gandara

Javier de la Gandara made Okofen the first leader of the J80-class Autumn League this afternoon after winning the inaugural day held in the waters of the Baiona Ria.

In the first test of the day the Okofen dominated clearly, from beginning to end. It was made with the first position followed by the Ferralemes, patroniado by Rosario García, which was left second; and the Spaco de Santiago Estévez was the third to cross the line of arrival.
In the second test, which was opened with an off-line and later rectification of the Maija, the Okofen again repeated victory, demonstrating that the autumn season began with much strength.

In this test, Fernando Yáñez's Cansino was willing to battle, but despite the initial impulse that allowed him to shorten distances with the Okofen, he was not able to overcome those of Gandara. He achieved, yes, to be second, and to overcome the Alboroto of Juan Carlos Ameneiro, who finished third.

And in the third and last race of the day, in which the same weather conditions were maintained, there were no changes in the leadership, though in the navigation and arrivals, which were much more adjusted than in the initial sleeves. Although the route was more disputed, the Okofen was again successful, sentencing the inaugural day with a full of first. The second position was for the Alboroto of Juan Carlos Ameneiro and the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez entered third.
