Last chance for White Joaquin in Poland to get up in Laser European
The Gdanks race field has again been dominated by loose and variable winds, which have not exceeded 7 knots of intensity. Under these conditions, the Laser Standard fleet has completed two tests while the Radial fleet has been able to add three.
In this way, the wind that has taken days without being up to the importance of the Championship, has gone from indispensable dare to protagonist, putting the most painted and endangering any achievement in the provisional classifications.
Among the Standard, Joaquín Blanco remains in the Top10 fleet, combining today an 8th and a 34th discard, which makes him go down to the tenth position.
The podium is far from White, but these days we have seen that going up like the foam or falling to the end is possible in Poland... the last skate, that of the Cypriot Kontides, that from the third step of the podium goes to the fifteenth place. The British Beckett continues to command in the provisional general, but his little margin does not allow for errors. Tomorrow, too, the second discount will come into play.
The rest of the Spaniards at Laser Standard have not had as good a spot as White. Joel Rodríguez goes down to 25, Carlos Roselló to 35 and Jesus Rogel to 51. In the Silver group, Guillermo Flores takes a big leap from position 51 to position 35.
In Laser Radial, Cristina Pujol (41) continues to win the game to Ana Moncada (42) who today has added an 8th, with a tight difference between them of two points. Fatima Reyes is 46 and Martina Kingdom 48. In the Silver group, Laura Oliva defends the first position of the table, while Roca Ascension is 17 and Aina Bauza dates back from 31 to 18.
In the general of Radial, Rindom maintains a clear and strong advantage of 23 points that already allow him to caress the gold leaving the fight aft, where Bouwmeester combines a abandonment with a 4-1 and moves from the fourth to the second place, appearing on stage and in the fight for the podium the Greek Kalachaliou...

2020 / 10 / 11: Low to ninth place in the European Standard Laser in Polish waters

The Catalan Cristina Pujol (44) disbanded the Andalusian Ana Moncada (46) as best Spanish in the group Oro de Laser Radial, and Laura Oliva is first in the group Plata... after a new day of loose and variable winds in the Polish town of Gdanks
The conditions do not end in the Gdanks race field, where today the final series of the European Standard and Radial Laser Championship have started, with variable wind and more than just to navigate, from 0 to 7 knots, allowing the one-sleeve dispute between the Radial and two in Standard.
The Spanish pre-Olympic Joaquín Blanco and Joel Rodríguez have endured the pull of the weather and white instability remains in the Top10 of the Gold group of Standard, going down to the ninth place, while Rodríguez defends his tenth position.
And it is that keeping the balance on the top of the table is proving to be a hard task not only for the Spaniards, and if we saw yesterday how the British Beckett attacked the first place, the Croatian Jurisic went down to the second and the Cypriot Kontides reached the podium, today the British defends its position while the Croatian falls to the 12th place and it is also the British Hanson who rises from the fifth to the second square.
The other two Spaniards in the Oro group are slightly improved: Carlos Roselló goes up to position 30 and Jesus Rogel to 39. In the Silver group, Guillermo Flores is 51st.
The girls of Radial have only been able to perform a test, enough for Cristina Pujol (44) to break Ana Moncada (46) as best Spanish of the classification in the Oro group. Fatima Reyes also improves and is 47th, followed by Martino Kingdom which is 48th. In the Silver group, Laura Oliva is placed in first position, while Roca Ascension is 16th and Aina Bauza 31st.
As in Standard, changes also in the first positions of Radial, where the Danish Rindom defends the leadership, the Polish Barwinska goes up to the second step and the Belgian Plasschaert closes the provisional podium, falling the Dutch Bouwmeester, yesterday second, to the fourth position.

2020 / 10 / 10: Poland's Laser European enters the final phase with White in the "top ten"

The Laser Standard and Radial European Championship faces its final phase with eight of the twelve Spanish regatists participating in the Gold group, four among the five Laser Standard boys and four among the seven Laser Radio girls
The canary Joaquín Blanco heads the Spanish fleet in Standard and is placed sixth of the general to the detriment of his club partner and the pre-Olympic team Joel Rodríguez, which falls from the sixth to the 15th place of the general. Also in the group Oro are the Carlos Roselló, 33rd and the torreviejense Jesús Rogel, 41st, passing to the group Silver the Andalusian Guillermo Flores, 112th.
In general, the fleet has accused the fall of the wind in today's day, third of the championship, in which conditions have been of light winds, between 5 and 7 knots, and very variable, marked by the passage of some chucbascos, with presence of fog in the field of races at the beginning of the morning. Conditions under which the Laser Radial have contested two tests but only one has been possible in the case of the Standard.
The Andalusian Ana Moncada continues to lead the national representation in Radial and is the first, from the 43rd place, of the four Spanish that are framed in the group Oro: the shooting Fatima Reyes (48), the canary Martina Reino (50) and the Catalan Cristina Pujol (52). The Catalan Laura Oliva (56), the Torreviejense Ascension Roca (80) and the Aina Bauza (81) are left in the Silver group.
With regard to the general classification, the weak and unstable conditions have translated into changes between the Standard, where the British Michael Beckett becomes the new interim leader leaving second to the Croatian Filip Jurisic, with whom he is tied to points. No change in Radio where the Danish Anne Marie Rindom stands firm in the first position by increasing up to 10 points its advantage over the Dutch Marit Bouwmeester.

2020 / 10 / 09: Rodríguez y Blanco in the leading group of the European Laser Standard in Poland

The Spaniards advance in the European Laser, highlighting Rodríguez y Blanco who, with a sixth and a seventh in the general, get into the Top10 of the classification in Standard
Second day of races in Gdanks, Poland, where the European Championship of Laser Radial and Standard is held, in which twelve Spanish regatists participate.
With two tests held for each category today, the results of national athletes are positive for the majority, highlighting the results of the canaries Joel Rodríguez and Joaquín Blanco, members of the Spanish pre-Olympic team of Laser Standard.
On the one hand, Joel Rodríguez is not less than 16 posts, from the 22 General to the sixth, thanks to the 2-8 added today. And on the other hand, Joaquín Blanco has signed two partial pods, a 3-2, up to the seventh position of the general.
With a point of difference between the two Spaniards, everything is still very open in the general classification and with many possibilities for both, as Joel Rodríguez is tied to points with the fourth and fifth classified and to a single point of the podium, which are two in the case of Joaquín Blanco. There are still four days of race and eight planned tests ahead, so the aspirations for the regatists of the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria remain very high.
Also in Standard, the Carlos Roselló ballast rises from 27 to 26, while the torreviejense Jesus Rogel goes down to 32 and the Andalusian Guillermo Flores to 105.
The toughest wind conditions, up to 18 knots, and maintaining the instability forced by the entrance of chubbasks, have not so much benefited the women of the national expedition, which also progress for the most part but remain far from the heads. In the classification of Laser Radial, the Andalusian Ana Moncada remains the first Spanish, but it goes back from post 31 to 39, a decrease that also accuses the canaria Martino Reino, from 33 to 42. However, the Fatima Reyes ballast scale three places until 51, a tonic maintained by the also Balar Aina Bauza that today is 63rd, and the Catalan Cristina Pujol that is 64th at a point in her compatriot. The Catalan Laura Oliva is 66th and the Torreviejense Roca 90th Ascension.
