Great success in the Aragonese reservoir of La Loleta del Kitesurf Cierzo Festival

The magnificent wind conditions allowed all the planned activities to be carried out, including an exhibition by 4 of the country's best kitesurfers: Claudia León, Carlos Aldaravi, Sergio Turégano and Kiko Roig
This time, the Aragonese wind has honoured its fame and has starred in the most windy Cierzo Festival in recent years. With more than 65 km / h, 70 athletes from all over Spain have been able to see, first-hand, the well-deserved prestige of La Loteta as an ideal spot for kitesurf and windsurfing.
In its eighth edition, the Cierzo Festival has again wager to bring together two different sports: kitesurf and windsurfing. The athletes of both modes were able to enjoy magnificent conditions. As it came from different autonomous communities, the National Open and also the Aragon Championship were held among the federated athletes in our community.
In "Freestyle," of which the female mode was disputed, Claudia León (Murcia Region) was imposed... all the heats were played in male until the semifinals. Another fall from the wind around 6: 00 p.m. forced the completion of the tests to be postponed until the next day.
In slalom there were 48 athletes, between men and women, who faced a complicated circuit in "W" which, however, was the most entertaining. At times they came to participate almost 20 regatists at the same time, which produced spectacular images, with many comets in the air passing very close to each other. The winner was the rider Aitor Trejo, followed by Iñigo Lujanbio (both federations in Castile and León), with the third being Aragonese Jorge Cebrián. In female, the podium was left with Silvia City (Catalonia, Saray Núñez and Ruth Marín (both of Aragon).
After the lunch break came the strong dish for lovers of the most extreme sport: the finals of the Big Jump and Freestyle of Kitesurf. Again the strong wind allowed the most experienced Riders to make the most of their comets, making jumps and acrobatics of great difficulty. In the freestyle picture, the Andalusian Sergio Turégano honoured his favorite status and was imposed on Iñigo Lujanbio. Third was George Cebrian, who was imposed in the final consolation to the Aragonese also Joshua Sofi.
In the Big Jump, the Alicantino Carlos Aldaravi (a world record of a jump duration) won the final in a very duel to Sergio Turégano. Claudia León, who competed in the same picture, was third after being imposed on the Valencian José Antonio "Pepe" Rubio in the final consolation. Thus, the female classification was as follows: Claudia León, Silvia City and Ruth Marín.
In this way, following the dispute of all the tests, Claudia León and Sergio Turégano were proclaimed champions of the Cierzo Festival in the female and male category, respectively.
