Echegoyen / Barceló, best Spanish ranking with a fifth place in 49er FX
Pacheco / Trittel close with a seventh after having the podium to 4 points in the penultimate race in Nacra 17
The Alonso brothers end in 12th position

It ends in Attersee, Austria, the 49er European Championship, 49er FX and Nacra 17, in which Spain has had four teams, among which members of the Olympic team Támara Echegoyen and Paula Barceló in 49er FX and Tara Pacheco and Florian Trittel in Nacra 17 have the best results with a fifth and a seventh place in their respective classes. The Federico and Arturo Alonso brothers, of the national sailing team, are 12 in 49er, while the Nacra 17 crew formed by Nicolás Martín and Eloisa Santacemu, of the National Plan for Sports Tecnification, end at 25.

The Galician-Canarian crew of Támara Echegoyen and Paula Barceló (Movistar) gave the breast do between the 49th FX and, in the second test, a third position took them to the fifth of the general, position they would defend in the two remaining sleeves to end by closing the Top5 of this atypical European. Few changes in this class, with the German Lutz / Beucke proclaiming themselves European champions with comfort, followed by the Norwegian Naess / Renningen.

The four races disputed in Nacra 17 have been passed as a bandage by the general classification of the class and have barely left a puppet with a head, disconcerting between which Tara Pacheco and Florian Trittel have started with excellent partials of 2-7-5, reaching the last test in the fifth place of the provisional table, to four points of the podium... ahead of them, the Italians Tita / Banti were able to rise from the third to the first place proclaiming themselves champions of Europe, followed by the French Delapierre / Audinet from the quarters passing to the second and from the third steps of the monstronghold.

And many changes also between the 49er, where the Spaniards Federico and Arturo Alonso (El Gaitero) have maintained the tenth square with which they started today, while the Germans Fisher / Graf went from seconds to first by doing with the continental scepter. The Austrians Bildstein / Hulssl squeezed the day to move from fifths to subchampions and the Croats Fantela / Fantela held the third place.

2020 / 10 / 03: Continues the Austrian fiasco of the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra European Championship... unaudited

Only one race in 49er FX and another in Nacra 17 are today saved from burning under the uncertain conditions of Austrian Lake Echegoyen and Barceló pass from the 12th to the 10th place with a fifth in today's race... the only contested sleeve does not let Pacheco and Trittel recover more than one place, from the eighth to the seventh.

New weather fiasco in the waters of the Austrian lake, where a European of the classes 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 is being held... that participants from all countries will not forget in their sports life...

The Spanish teams have been able to fight all these adversities and those who have sailed climb positions and return to Top10 of their respective classifications, with a seventh place for Pacheco and Trittel in Nacra 17 and tenth for Echegoyen / Barceló in 49er FX.

In 49er it could not be, and the only valid exit did not come to a successful conclusion, leaving the classifications as they were yesterday, with the Alonso brothers in the tenth position.

It is not reasonable, nor is it just what is happening in Austria in a lake without the conditions to hold a European championship. This is a real shame and whatever happens in the rest of the championship, the sports validity of this masked... is null.

2020 / 10 / 02: The very bad wind conditions in the Austrian Lake of Attersee continue

There are still two more favourable weather forecast championship days

Again the wind conditions of Lake Attersee have marked the pace in the European Championship 2020 of the Olympic classes 49er, 49er FX and Nacra 17, with an instability in the direction of the wind that has now changed to 180º.

The fleet has again waited on the ground for the fog to see the beautiful landscape surrounding them in the Austrian Alps, and the wind had the consistency to sail... and reached 10 knots... only the 49er have been able to sail two sleeves in the Oro group, where the Alonso brothers (The Gaitero Team) who are decimated.

2020 / 10 / 01: Spanish ships fight in Austria to get into the first squares

Return the action to the Austrian lake of Auttersee after a blank day for lack of wind, retaking the test schedule under again difficult and weak wind conditions

The 49er and FX fleets have carried out new tests, while the Nacra 17 have been able to navigate four races, in which the wind, which has recently exceeded the seven knots, has not been sufficient for the latter class, equipped with foils, to maintain the flight on many occasions. In spite of this, the Spanish crew of Tara Pacheco and Florian Trittel has played a good day adding to their partials a 3-14-4-8 that lead him to Top10 of the table, ascending from position 18 to the eighth. The Argentines Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza are the new leaders of the class.

The Federico and Arturo Alonso (El Gaitero) brothers also advanced in the classification, who started the day with a 15 and continued to sign two partial podiums, 3-3, which allow them to enter the very tight Top10 of the 49er, in which a five-fold tie is produced between positions 5 and 9. The Croats Fantela / Fantela stand at the head of the fleet.

The crew of Támara Echegoyen and Paula Barceló (Movistar) have not shone as usual, and although it began by marking a fourth place in the first test of the day, a 14th and an 18th, the last one discarded, they take them to the tenth second position, three points from the Top 10. The German Lutz / Beucke still dominate the provisional classification.

Difficult day in Attersee, Austria, to inaugurate the 49er, 49er FX and Nacra 17 European Championship, in which the weak wind and the conditions of the lake, with wind pressure falls, have marked the pattern on a very long day of races.

The Spanish crew best located in the provisional classifications is that of the Galician Támara Echegoyen and the balar Paula Barceló (Movistar) in 49er FX that are located sexta, seven points from the podium; the Asturians Federico and Arturo Alonso are twelve, four points from the Top10, in 49er; and the Canadian-Catalan team of Tara Pacheco and Florian Trittel is 18th in Nacra 17.

2020 / 09 / 28: Paula Barceló and Tamara Echegoyen in Austria for the European FX49er

The regatist of Club Nàutic de s'Arenal, Paula Barceló and her partner, the Galician Tamara Echegoyen of Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, are in Austria where from this Monday, and until Sunday, the FX49er class European Championship is held.

Paula Barceló and Tamara Echegoyen come from sailing in the Dutch national of Medemblik, where they proclaimed themselves champions by getting eleven first positions of the 15 tests that were held... this championship was put forward as a training for the regatists of the Movistar team, with the look on the European that begins today in Lake Attersee, Austria.

Barceló and Echegoyen are currently World Champions, a title obtained last February in the Australian town Geelong and will be the Spanish representatives at the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2021.
