Today I complete the Spanish Snipe Master Championship, which has brought together 45 of the best regatists over 45 years of age in Spain and Portugal for three days of competition... the participants have been divided into four categories for the classification: Junior - with pattern between 45 and 54 years -; Master - pattern between 55 and 64 years of age -; Grand Master - from 65 to 74 years and Legend Master, for patterns over 75 years of age.

The regularity in the last three tests has given the final victory to the Andalusian Ángel Ballesteros Martínez of the Chamber and María del Mar Correa of the CN Motril, with a first, a seventh and a second and thanks to the possibility to rule out the 22 of the first test. The second square has been for the duo Rafa de Tomas - Alexandre Tinoco, of RCN Valencia, with a consistent performance, and the third square was for the Spanish-Portuguese duo formed by Tiago Roquette and Miguel Cebolla, who have also been proclaimed champions of the Master class (pattern more than 55 years old).

For their part, the Mallorquins Kai Dost and Jorge Díaz Valderas, rooms on the general table, have completed the podium in Junior class... the winning female team has been that formed by Marisa Arlandis and Germana Camarero of the RCN Valencia.

After the duo Roquette - Cebolla, the second place in master class has been for the also lute José Pedro Pinheiro and Catarina Pinheiro and with Miguel Costa and Agustín Zabalúa, of RCN Palma and RCN Valencia, respectively, completing the podium and becoming the national title.

The Grand Master class, with three teams in liza, has crowned champions to the Astoriamos Jose Palacios and María Palacios, of the RCAR, followed by the Andalusian Antonio Miguel Sel and Guillermo Serrano, of the Mediterranean RC and with the Portuguese couple formed by Antonio Dias and Frederico Bagorro in third position.

The only snipe participating in the Legend Master category, with a pattern over 75 years old, was that of the "Nano" Belda, Marqués Del Valle del Turia, a myth of the class that has participated with Carmela Marzal, making the title in its category.

The Real Club Náutico de Valencia has been hosting the Spanish Snipe Master Championship for Thursday, which brings together fifty of the top senior regatists of the class... the requirements for participating in this event are that the pattern is over 45 years old and that the sum of age of pattern and crew is at least 80 years.

The quote has managed to bring together some of the great legends of the class at the national level, such as the "Nano" Belda, which continues in league with more than 85 years, sailing in the category of Leyenda, or the Asturian José Palacios, a whole classic of the races. Also present will be the current advocate of the title of European subchampion, the Portuguese Tiago Roquette, who will sail on this occasion with Miquel Cebolla, or Agustín Zabalúa and Louis Moyan, who have a long list of victories and will sail separately on this test, along with Miguel Costa and Alejandro De Castro, respectively.

Fifty regatists from more than 15 clubs across the Spanish and Portuguese geography, who will give the best of themselves during three days of water competition that will start tomorrow Friday.
