With about 400 palists from 26 countries, the World Cup 2020 will present significant absences in the participation of a good number of nations, although they are registered Olympic medalists returning to Szeged, where also do the Spaniards who just a year ago went up to the podium in the World Cup: Paco Cubelos and Iñigo Peña as well as Pelayo Roza and Pedro Vázquez, current world subchampions of K2 1,000 and 500 meters, respectively, and Sete Benavides along with Toni Segura, bronze medal in C2 500.
