The president of the Marinas de Andalucía, Manuel Jiménez, has appeared today in the Committee on the Promotion, Infrastructure and Management of the Territory of the Andalusian Parliament, where the proposal for a law on the legislative text is being discussed that takes action on concessional deadlines and amends the Law 21 / 2007 of 18 of the Legal and Economic Regime of the Ports of Andalucía, which is currently being processed before this Commission.

Jiménez in her intervention, the first one to be President of Marinas de Andalucía, has applauded the processing of this law that will "grant the necessary legal security that the Andalusian sports ports need and will allow extensions in the concessions, so that new investments can be made."

The president of Marinas de Andalucía has, however, nuanced some aspects of the text proposed by the Andalusian government. In this regard, the marinas represented agree with the fact that the administrative titles and the concessional conditions of the marinas are in force. In addition, Jiménez has also expressed the need to draft a number of articles more clearly to eliminate any possible interpretation, especially with regard to the application of a particular fee or the value of the assessment of the marinas, which will be necessary to make future investments.

Manuel Jiménez has closed his speech by indicating to the Committee on the Promotion of the Andalusian Parliament the need to approve the amendment of the sectoral legislation as soon as possible, in order not to delay the present situation of legal insecurity that affects both the Administration and the Administrates, and considering that the text proposed for its approval represents a solution to the situation of uncertainty generated in recent years around the Andalusian port sector as a result of the so-called effect 2018, which is defended by the Andalusian administration.
