Manuel Jiménez is the new maximum responsible for Marinas de Andalucía

The manager of the Port of Benalmádena, Manuel Jiménez, has been elected new president of the Association of Sports and Tourist Ports of Andalusia, Marinas of Andalusia at the extraordinary general assembly held today Monday, August 31.

Jiménez is accompanied by the director of Puerto Sherry, Enrique Ópez-Bosch and the managing director of Marine of the Mediterranean (company that manages the concessions of the marina of Estepona, La Duquesa in Manilva and Marina del Este in Almuñecar), Manuel Raigón, is the new general secretary of Marine of Andalusia.

The director of Alcaidesa Marina, Antonio Valbuena and that of the port of Fuengirola, Manuel García Vilaseca, continue in their functions as vocals of the collective, thus completing the Commission Delegate that will take the decisions of the association following the recent resignation of the previous positions.

Manuel Jiménez has addressed the representatives of the sports ports that make up the association at the conclusion of the assembly by thanking the trust and announcing that work will be done to help to enhance the marine sports sector and represent the common interests of all enclaves.

In this regard, Jiménez will have his first intervention tomorrow as president of Marinas de Andalucía, having been invited to the association to the celebration of the Committee of Promotion that will take place in the Parliament of Andalusia and in which the amendment of the Law on Ports of Andalucía will be discussed. The new Commission also has before it the next participation of the association in the various international nautical halls that it has come to with the APPA and Andaluz Tourism.

The Association of Sports and Tourist Ports of Andalusia (Marinas de Andalucía) is a professional association that was born in 1982 with the aim of representing, managing and defending the general interests of the sports ports of the Community of Andalucía. This entity represents 15 marinas on the Andaluza coast distinguished by quality in infrastructure and services. At present, Marinas de Andalucía is composed of sixteen private sports ports: Marina Isla Canela, Marina El Rompido, Puerto Sherry, Alcaidesa Marina, Puerto de La Duquesa, Real Club Náutico Estepona, Puerto Deportivo Estepona, Puerto Banus, Puerto Deportivo Marbella, Puerto Deportivo Fuengirola, Puerto Deportivo Benalmádena, Club El Candado, Marina del Este, Almerimar and Puerto Deportivo Aguadulce. Marinas de Andalucía is a full member of Euromarina (European Federation of Sports Ports Associations), the Spanish Federation of Sports and Tourist Ports Associations (FEADPT) and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalucía (CEA).
