Rip Curl has decided to organize his big event Sub16 the GromSearch 2020 for the top promises of international surfing... and something very new: country pre-selection will be digital, for European dating
To participate in the classification phase, young surfers will have to send, by September 15, two videos with their best waves through:

The best European judges will be responsible for the pre-selection of surfers who will have to show their best tricks and unique style to enchant experts.
A boy and a girl under 16 from England, Portugal, France, Spain and some other European countries will win their ticket for the European final in "The Wave," the Wavegarden of Bristol... the British event will be the first event to be held in a pool of waves for young people under 16, making this edition historic.
Rip Curl GromSearch
Created in Torquay, Australia, in 1999, the Rip Curl GromSearch is a unique competition in its kind and reserved only for young surfers under the age of 16. It has been held in places such as Brazil, Australia, the United States, Indonesia, South Africa, New Zealand and Europe, and culminates in an International Final that is traditionally held in a place that is kept secret (Somewhere in...) in spring. The Rip Curl GromSearch is a young talent factory where great world surf stars like Stéphanie Gilmore, Gabriel Medina and so many other wonders have formed.
