Great atmosphere in Santa Pola before the Autonomical of Optimist of the Valencia Community

The meeting, which has 8 registered teams, will be held at the Nautical Club of Santa Pola between 27 and 28 August within its Virgin of Loreto Trophy (Pep Portas photo)
The Nautical Club of Santa Pola takes over, at least in this edition, the Nautical Club of Jávea as the headquarters of the Autonomous Championship by team of clubs of the Federation of Vela Comunidad Valenciana, within its sports program of the Trophy Virgen de Loreto, given the current situation and following the decision of the Javian club months ago not to organize in this test in this 2020, but with the utmost predisposition to remain the abandero of this race from 2021 as has been usual in recent years.
The race will be held under strict security measures, including the top of departure for the first meeting on Thursday day, occurring a little later than established, 1 p.m., to give the teams time to reach Santa Pola, thus avoiding one more night and shortening their stay and travel to the maximum.
In purely sports, seven are the teams that will take part in the meeting santapola, made up of 4 regatists (2 male and 2 female), in which the current autonomous champion: Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja stands out. Along with the Torreviejense regatists will compete for the regional scepter some of the strongest teams of the Valencia Community among them RCN Valencia, RCR Alicante, CN Jávea, RCN Calpe, RCN Denia and the host: CN Santa Pola.
The race, which will start on Thursday 27 of agosta, will be played in the liguilla format, through a Round Robin (series of encounters) of all against all, giving way to the Friday day the semi-finals, meetings for the 3rd and 4th place, as well as the final, provided that the round robin has been closed on the previous day.
