The reasons for the longevity and success of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup are several: The quality of the competition is always of the first level and the organization responds unfathomably to its high demands; the tours offer an unparalleled combination of difficulty and beauty in an environment plagued with "mines" in the form of rocky outposts that pose a great challenge to the crews; the event traditionally exercises the place of trial and exhibition of the latest designs of monocascos and of the most advanced technology in the sector; and its organizers maintain an excellent relationship with a main sponsor, Rolex, which has been in the early years of the year of the Yacht (the year of the year of the year of the year of the year of the Sachte and of the year of the year of the year of the year.

Thanks to his more than 30 years of competition in the waters of Porto Cervo, Ambassador Rolex Paul Cayard recognizes these qualities: "The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is a great example of how a sponsor and a club can work together, create a lasting relationship and move forward by evolving to stay at the top. As regatists, we love to come to compete: the wind, the sea, the spectacular scenario of the sardine coast and the organizational capacity of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda are unparalleled. The combination of these factors makes it an indispensable quote for the best regatists in the world. It's the best big-length event on the circuit."

Another expert competitor of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup the four-time British Olympic champion and Ambassador Rolex Sir Ben Ainslie highlights the values that the event shares with its main sponsor. "Precision and excellence are essential for sailing performance from a sports point of view, even more in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. There is a clear and direct relationship with the ideals Rolex defends." The margins between success and failure in water are very small; any minimal error is used by rivals to overcome you. Excellence is not just a necessity, it is a requirement.

The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2020 competition program will consist of five race days between Monday, August 31, and Friday, September 4.
