The president of the Galician Association of Nautical Activities, Manuel Soliño, along with the Conselleiro de Cultura, Román Rodríguez. Mayor of Boiro, José Ramón Romero and other authorities, today presented at the facilities of the Boiro Social Center, located in the port of Escarabote, the 2020 Coastal Cruises campaign for the beginning season.

About 25 passengers, on the other hand the passage allowed by the current situation due to the pandemic, have made a stop at the said port of Escarabote where they were received by the Conselleiro de Cultura, the president of AGAN and other personalities of Galician politics and company.

They were then transferred to the Boiro Social Centre, where they visited the exhibition that is currently installed in that municipal compound. In the event, the mayor of Boiro also thanked the presence of the host entities, maritime transport and other companies and associations related to the sea so that, then, it was the president of Agan who took the floor to explain what the coastal cruises consist of, the trajectory since its creation in 2015 and other particular characteristics referring to the serious moment that the sector is going through due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Manuel Soliño stressed in his explanation the great impact that the pandemic has had on the nautical sector and expressed "the urgent and essential need for support for the nautical sector by the Administration." He also stated that "we have to consider the nautical as a sector in the image of French Britain by developing specific measures for both the harbour and the tourist sector and the nautical construction by supporting the structure as an Atlantic cluster to make Galicia the great port of the Atlantic facade and the nautical destination of first order."
