The decline in enrolment is slowed, according to official data for July

The registration of recreational boats in Spain slow their fall in the accumulated year, with -17.53% less records between January and July, compared with the fall of -28.7% recorded in the previous period (energy-June). From January to July 2020, 3,811 recreational boats were registered in Spain compared to 4,621 in the same period last year.

The rental of boats also improves substantially, with an increase in the registration of boats for use of rent in July of 23.33%. In the cumulative year, the registration on the rental market fell by -31.44%, compared to the same period of 2019, as a result of the paron suffered at the beginning of the season and until the beginning of the "new normalcy."

The ships over 16 meters are those that have the greatest fall of enrollments in the period enero-July, with a decrease of -33.3%. The length between 12 and 16 meters also shows a fall of -31.7% and the ships between 8 and 12 meters lose -24.1% enrollments, compared with the same period last year.

The smaller boats, from 6 to 8 meters, have a fall of -34.8% as a whole, and remain the most demands with a market share of 89.4%.

By type of boats, water bikes leave behind the falls of previous months and record a slight increase in their enrolment (+ 0.8%). The rest of the markets are still negative, but reducing the falls. The largest drop in enrolment is for semi-rigid pneumatic vessels (-35.3%), followed by motor vessels (-24.4%), folding pneumatic vessels (-17.5%) and sailboats (-16.8%).
