Bureau Veritas grants certification after audits to all ships, terminals and points of sale of the leading shipping company in Spain

Shipping TransMediterranean Arms has obtained the Global Safe Site certification given by Bureau Veritas. The favourable audit confirms and ensures that Spain's first shipping group complies with all the hygiene, safety, cleaning and disinfection prevention procedures required for both passengers and crew.

In order to grant this certification, the world's leading company in testing, inspection and testing has carried out a series of audits that have culminated in the certification of all ships and maritime stations that manage Shipping TransMediterranean Weapons. In this way, Bureau Veritas has audited the measures implemented on 26 ships, eight terminals and 16 points of sale.

It should be recalled that this audit includes the verification of protective measures established by the shipping company, such as risk assessment to exposure, personal hygiene measures, identification of particularly sensitive persons, management of EPIs, measures to ensure social distance, updating of psychosocial risks, preventive culture, and training and information.

In the same way, Bureau Veritas has analysed the organizational-face measures taken months ago by the shipping company to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection. These include the review and verification of the existence and correct implementation of measures prior to the start of work shifts, organization of work, cleaning and temporary disinfections, mobility plans, reduction of the capacity, scaling of arrivals and exits, definition of access, management with suppliers, measures in case of suspicion and / or contagion, etc.

In addition, the audit company has reviewed the compliance with the regulations applicable to the facilities, such as those relating to the cleaning and disinfecting of the facilities, adaptation of common areas, spaces in departments, plans for the renewal of the air, cleaning of the air systems, the operation of the machinery and compliance with the regulatory requirements... it should be noted that "the Global Safe Site certification is granted to establishments that meet the requirements, ensuring the monitoring of the cleaning and disinfection protocols," says Laura Verdejo, Production Manager Commercial Bureau Veritas.
