The Bundesplizei receives five semi-rigid from Vanguard Marine for the protection and security service in Germany. These are vessels of 4.2 meters length with aluminium hull and polyurethane floats custom in shipyard to meet the demanding standards of the German body

The model chosen by the German Federal Police (Bundesplizei) is based on the Vanguard SOLAS 420RB, a half-rigid 4.2-meter length and 2.03-meter manga with capacity for six people. Made of 4 mm aluminium insulable helmet filled with closed cell foam and five-chamber independent polyurethane floater, it offers an excellent commitment between stability, lightness, speed and consumption, as well as the highest safety standards.

The specifications requested by the German body include a S-500 Jockey console and a removable post for blue strobe light and navigation lights. The five units have been equipped with a three-cylinder and 40-horsepower Mercury motorization to meet the requirement to navigate at 20 knots of speed with four people of 110 kilograms on board. To extend their use autonomy, they have an extra 12-litre fuel tank lodged within the jockey as a complement to the standard 45-litre tank.

The Bundesplizei (or BPOL) is the German federal police, directly subordinate to the German Ministry of the Interior and based in Postdam. It has nearly 50,000 troops and its main missions include border control, the provision of coast guard services, support to international police missions for the United Nations and the European Union, presence at airports and train stations, protection of official buildings or anti-terrorist control.
