Naviera Armas Transmediterráneo premiere the City of Valencia in the line Cadiz- Canarias
The new City of Valencia ferry, the most modern ropax-type ship in the fleet of Naviera Armas Transmediterráneo, will be premiered this summer on the line Cadiz- Canarias, in which it relays the City of Palma ferry. The delivery of the new ship - the largest of its kind built in the Visentinian shipyard - will take place on July 30 and then it will be located in the port of Cadiz, starting its operating life with a weekly rotation.
The City of Valencia will be incorporated into the contract signed with the State until March 2022 and represents a significant improvement in the Cadiz- Canarias line, both in the times of rotation, and in the agility of the service and the capacity of loading and passage, so that every Thursday it allows to reach the Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife very early. In both ports, in addition, all possible combinations are provided with the interisland service of Naviera Armas Transmediterráneo, in a radio programming that connects the entire archipelago, being the only shipping company that currently makes it possible.
The duration of the trip between Cadiz and Arrecife is shortened by three hours, so that every Wednesday will arrive at 7.30 p.m. in Lanzarote. The next scale will be in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where it will arrive at 0200 hours on Thursday and in the early morning it will continue to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, being docked at 0800 hours, so that every Thursday it operates in the two main ports of the Canary Islands, which is a new bet in the extraordinary service provided by Naviera Armas Transmediterráneo.
The City of Valencia will dawn every Friday in the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma, on a scale that guarantees the second weekly shipment of the island banana production to the peninsular markets. On the return trip, on Friday night you will be back in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and every Saturday you will attract in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura) and Arrecife de Lanzarote, starting in the morning of Sunday the return to Cadiz, where you will arrive at 8 a.m. Monday, also shortening the duration of the trip in three hours.
