After three years of working on its construction, the Austal shipyard has made an emotional tribute as a farewell, in which the well-known "water salute" has been carried out.

Last week the shipping company signed the new ship by Austal. An exciting, yet intimate act in which Fred's crew were present. Olsen Express, who moved to the antipods to pick up this new ship, such as the shipyard professionals and where the work done for three years was valued.

The Bajamar Express has a capacity of 1,100 passengers and 276 cars and has 118 meters in length, reaching a speed of 38 knots. The ship travels adapted to the safety and prevention measures against the spread of the coronavirus and that have the certification of AENOR. Austal is the construction company of five of the ships of the shipping company. In particular, he has been responsible for the manufacture of Benchijigua Express, Bocayna Express and Betancuria Express. The company also works in the second triarán that will be part of the shipping company: the Express Bádieros.
