Barcelona's Nautical Hall officially confirms that it will not be held until 2021
Fira de Barcelona, according to the National Association of Nautical Enterprises (Anen), has decided to transfer to October 2021 the celebration of the International Nautical Hall of Barcelona, initially scheduled for October this year, in view of the current situation generated by the pandemic and with the aim of holding in a more favourable context a new edition that brings together the commercial offer with national and international key buyers.
In this way, Fira de Barcelona has met and appreciated the request of the sector which, in the face of the complex and uncertain situation today, the possible evolution in the coming months and the restrictions of international mobility, has expressed its recommendation to transfer this year's edition to 2021, as well as its willingness to start working together with the exhibition institution to organize a great competition next year that will contribute effectively to the reactivation of the country's nautical and economic industry.
In close collaboration with Anen, Fira is already preparing for the organization of a new edition of the Nautical Hall in order to reunite in the Port Vell of Barcelona the best commercial offer with the participation of the ships and latest news of exhibitors of the great brands, as well as to attract national and international buyers, key agents of the sector, and to show once again its status of the most important event of the nautical in Spain and one of the references of all of Europe.
In the last edition of 2019 he brought together more than 290 exhibitors and 700 boats, with about 180 in the floating sample, and received more than 55,000 visitors who could see the more than 120 new ones presented and enjoy the 100 activities planned for the dissemination and promotion of the practice of nautical among families, fans and professionals.
The Nautical Hall thus joins other international competitions of the sector that in recent weeks have decided to postpone the editions planned for this year in the face of current circumstances and the uncertainty resulting from this serious health crisis that is being suffered worldwide.
