The race organized by the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona, dated July 16-19, was scheduled to celebrate its last day of tests this Sunday, however the final results will be computed with the first two days, announcing to the winners at the end of today.

The award ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow Sunday 19 at 5 p.m., at which only the authorities and a single representative of the J70 and ORC winning crews will be convened in each of their classes.

17 / 07 / 2020: The Swan 45 "Rats on Fire" imposes its law on the first day of the Count of Godó in Barcelona

First day of the Conde de Godó Trophy organized by the Real Club Nautico in Barcelona, which has been covered with winds of up to fifteen knots, which has led to a good day, with a lot of vistosity.

Within the ORC 01, the Swan 45 Rats on Fire by Rafael Carbonell (CN Arenys), winner of ten editions of this classic, begins the Barcelona race in the first square... its rivals the Dufour 44 Es Tes Unno by Francisco Soldevila (RCN Barcelona) and the newly released in this race, the Swan 50 CS Tenaz by Pablo Garonga (RCN Barcelona) follow the podium.

In the class ORC 2, the Synergy 40 of Alexandre Laplaza (RCN Barcelona) l'Immens-Laplaza Assessors, with Carlos Rodríguez to the cane, after winning the last three editions, repeats as a provisional leader, despite the problem in the first test, the Miaja X of Jaime Samón Viñas (CN the Masnou) and the Blue Rocket of Jordi Brufau (RCN Barcelona) remain in second and third position respectively.

First place in the class ORC 3-4 for Tostaki de Marcelo Antonini (CMPO) with 4 points, follows BC Fertilis de Manuel Mestre (RCN Valencia), and closes the provisional podium L'Oreig de Martí Gelabert (CN Port d'Aro) with 7 and 10 points.

Three tests in total for the J70, after which the Noticia of José Mª Torcida and L. Martin Cabiedes is at the head of the fleet, three points behind it is followed by Biobizz Getxo Eurofrits (RCNA / RCMA) by Alfredo González Mercedes Benz Sailing Team (RCNB / RCMA) by Ricardo Terrades and with Luis Martinez Doresta in the cane, with 10 points.

16 / 07 / 2020: The Conde de Godó Trophy begins in the waters of Barcelona with 45 cruises from 10 countries

The participating ships represent 10 countries, Switzerland, the United States, Italy, Greece, Germany, Monaco, the United Kingdom, Finland, South Africa and Spain will play a total of seven tests for the ORC and ten for the monotypes in two race fields... the competition will start at one in the afternoon

The 47 Sail Trophy Conde Godó with 45 ships from 10 countries, which will fight to reach the podium of the prestigious high competition race, the dean of cruises and of reference throughout the Mediterranean, which organizes the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona. The first exit signal is scheduled at 2.30 p.m. for the first cruise and monotype tests.

The champion of the last seven editions and favorite in its category ORC 0-1, the Swan 45 Rats on Fire of Catalan Rafael Carbonell, with Jorge Martínez Doreto and Noluco Doreto as great brains on board will fight in this edition with the aim of achieving its eleventh trophy Count of Godó, thus equating the Bribon in number of victories. It premiered in the 47 edition of the trophy the Swan 50 Tenaz by Pablo Garriga of the Barcelona RCN with a great crew.

The leader in the category ORC 2, L'Immens-Laplaza Assessors of Alexandre Laplaza is not missing in the quote of this new edition. The winners of the last three editions will fight this 47 Sail Trophy Conde Godó with the aim of achieving their fourth consecutive victory.

Marc de Antonio and the crew of the J80 Bribón-Movistar, after being winners in four editions in the class J80 (2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019) and one in Platu 25 (2008), will compete this 47 edition in the J70 Bribón-Tenaz with the intention of becoming part of the J70's palmaris.

In the class J70, a great struggle is planned with several high-level crews, such as the Noticia (RCMS / RCNB) by José María Torcida and Rayco Tabares, the Mercedes Benz Sailing Team (RCNB / RCNGC) by Ricardo Terrades and Luis Martínez Doreeste.

Throughout the championship, the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona applies all the necessary prevention measures with respect to COVID-19, following the recommendations and protocols marked by the competent health authorities.

The 47 Sail Trophy Conde Godó has the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela and the Federació Catalana de Vela, with the support of La Vanguardia, the Ajuntment of Barcelona and the Generalitat of Catalunya.
