During the weekend was held in the waters of Gijón Bay, the Laser Radio Asturias Championship, a test organized by the Royal Astur Club of Regatas.

On the first day the three sleeves were held, under a barlovento-sotavento tour, with wind from the north-east of between 10 and 14 knots with a short wave of half a metre high, on a sunny day.

Luis Díaz won in 2018 and one of the favorites to win the Championship, made an excellent day was the best in the second and third manga, finished in the second position the first race. With these results he had half a Championship in his pocket. Bruno González, first in the inaugural manga and third in the following two was placed second in the general very close to Luis. For its part, Jacobo Fernández who defended the title would end second in two of the three sleeves of the day and therefore with options to repeat the triumph achieved in the last edition.

Things didn't start well for the leader Luis Díaz who would end up in sixth place in the first test of the day, manga he would rule out to win the Championship, with a second and a fourth place in the previous tests. Jacobo Fernández, with a second and two third parties, would take the subchampionship on this occasion. Excellent day by Fernando Alonso, who with two first and a second place would end up in third position on the table, after a very irregular first day. Nor was Bruno González 'day that would end fourth in the general. Alfonso Jaudenes who would break the candle on the third manga on Saturday was the winner in the last race of the Championship.

This weekend the Laser Radial Asturias Championship will be held in Gijón waters. The competition is run by the Royal Astur Club of Regatas.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Gijonese Bay hosts a new autonomous event of light sailing... on this occasion, the Laser with radial gear, one of the ships chosen by the School of Sailing of the Gijon Regatta Club to train its students will be the protagonist of the weekend.

At 12.30 p.m. on Saturday the competition will start, with six sleeves planned, no more than 3 tests per day will be sailed... being an indispensable condition to complete at least two tests to give validity to the Championship.
