Next Friday will be the twenty-seventh edition of La Ruta de la Tramuntana, a classic of the coastal races of the Catalan coast, which, with a tour of 54 nautical miles, joins the Náutic Club del Balís with the Náutic Club de l'Escala... which is a remarkable test for the Championship of Catalunya de Altura, Solitarios and A dos.

After the long wait resulting from the Covid crisis, it will be one of the first cruise competitions to be organized on the Catalan coast and the first of the high navigation. The desire to take the pulse back to the competition is felt in the fleet... the number of pre-registered people already exceeds the available places, and the competitive level is very remarkable, both in the category of Solitaries and A2 and in full crew.

In order to adapt to the current context and ensure safety, the Regatas Committee decided to delay the departure, which was traditionally held on the first Friday of July. In addition, social events have been cancelled: the registration of participants will be held in an outside tent, the pre-departure pattern meeting will be held on the VHF channel that Maritime Capitanía has assigned to the race, the traditional welcome dinner at Club Nàutic l'Escala has been cancelled and the ceremony of trophy delivery will be later held in October framed in the Nautical Hall of Barcelona... in front of the forced social distance, the Committee will enhance all the means of telecommunications and the technical standards of the competition with the aim of glowing the sports essence of the test.
