The Gin-Glass, by Alfredo Alegría the absolute winner of the Isastur- University of Oviedo Regata, in its twenty-second edition... by class, the Antilope- Lener won the general of group I, the Gin-Glass did the same in group II, while in class III, the triumph was for the Sifo.

The Regata Isastur- University of Oviedo has been responsible for giving the pistoletazo exit to the cruise sail in Asturias, after the forced stop due to the Covid-19, by the hand of the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón.

The winner of the general... Gin-Glass would win class II, followed by the Isastur- University of Oviedo, patronized by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas, second in the two sleeves. The third position was for the Wanted, by Ricardo Simal.

In class I, the winner of the race was the Antilope-Lener, by José Luis Alonso who was the best of his class in the second sleeve and second in the first, and with the same points as the Gin-Glass in the absolute general. The second position in class I was for the BullBox, by Luis Noguera who won the first manga, taking the third position in the closing one. The GS1, by Fernando Alonso with a third and a second place on the table, occupied the third place in the group general.

The Silfo, of José Ángel García was the best in the two days in class III, proclaiming himself just winner of the category, the second place obtained it the Ita II, of Pedro Guerra tied to points with the third classified, the Leonidas, of Juan Manuel Quevedo.

Today one of the most emblematic and beloved tests of the Asturian sailing calendar was presented at the Santa Catalina Pavilion of the Royal Club Astur de Regatas... the event was attended by the Director General of Sports of the Principality of Asturias, Dña. Beatriz Álvarez, the Council of Ayto Physical Activad. de Gijón, D. José Ramón Tuero, the Director of the Sports Area of the University of Oviedo, D. Pedro Gorria and the Commodore of the Real Club Astur de Regatas, D. Guillermo Marqués, as well as a wide representation of authorities and sponsors (Photo Felix G.Muñiz)

Organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas with the collaboration of the University of Oviedo, this weekend will be held in Gijón, the twenty-second edition of the Regata Isastur- University of Oviedo, which commemorates for the third year the memory of Daniel Ponte.

Tomorrow, Saturday, 4 July, at 3.30 p.m., in the waters of San Lorenzo Bay, a sign of attention will be given to the first manga of the trophy, a barlovento-sotavento tour. On Sunday the test will start at 13: 00, under a route similar to Saturday.

Once the registration period is closed, two or three classes will be established, with an individual classification and another joint general, therefore, there will be an absolute winner in the competition... it is expected that the bulk of the Gijonese fleet present in one of the most traditional races in the Principality of Asturias... being the ship to be beaten will be the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez, absolute winner in the last edition.
