Green light to the Spanish championship of the Optimist class, postponed last April after the state of alarm and at the beginning of the Covit-19 pandemic. The Náutico-Deportiva Juan Montiel Association will host the appointment of children's sailing, as well as the National for Self-Service Teams, between July 27 and August 2, under a strict security protocol, being the first such test after the return to the new normalcy.

The work carried out by the Higher Council of Sports, together with the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela, in turn, with the Spanish Association of the International Class Optimist, has made it possible to create guidelines and lines of work in order to be able to carry out this first pilot test after the return to the new normalcy, although all are aware of the concern that still exists among the families for the situation, so both the organizing club and the Federation, and all those involved in the launch of the championship, have spared no resources and means to safeguard the safety of all attendees and to ensure the development of the event in the most normal conditions.

After this important first step, the following was to coordinate with all the territorial and, mainly with the headquarters that will host the children's sailing championship: Asociación Náutico-Deportiva Juan Montiel, an entity that has always shown a firm interest in taking forward the championship at the moment that could be disputed. The predisposition of the entity Juan Montiel has been maximum, taking into account the guidelines on the progress that has been made, even when determining the dates of the test.

The next step, in which work is currently under way, is with the authorities of the Region of Murcia and the town council of Águilas itself. Both institutions, under the security measures and protocols set out in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia on June 19, see with good eyes the possibility of hosting the children's sailing appointment, being a true test bank to see how such events can be hosted in compliance with all the safety and distance standards in this phase of new normalcy.

The Spanish Championship will start on July 29, at 12: 00 in the morning... schedule that will govern it for the next three days... the Spanish Championship for Autonomies will be held on July 31.
