Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal in Feva, Gonzalo Jaudenos in Optimist, Alfonso Jaudenos in Laser Radial and Francisco Palacio and Angela Pumariega in Snipe, lead in the absence of a day, the Summer Trophy of Light Sailing of Real Club Astur of Regatas.
On Sunday, the last day of the RCAR's Summer Sailing Trophy was held in the waters of Gijón Bay. The two scheduled sleeves were fought, under a barlovento-sotavento route, with a stable north-east wind, between 7 and 12 knots of intensity, flat sea and clear sky.
Among the Feva, Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal scored two first and are in the absence of a day, the virtual winners of the Trophy. The race club couple has won a total of 5 sleeves and have been second on two occasions. In the second place of the general are maintained Inés Sánchez and Marta Durán, quartas in the two sleeves of yesterday. For its part, Ignacio López and Diego Díaz hold the third position after finishing in second and third positions. Marta Suarez and Ignacio López finished third and second in their first participation in the Trophy.
In Optimist, Gonzalo Jaudenos with a first and a third in his locker leads the class, and is a firm candidate to go up to the top of the drawer. Marta Simal third and second in the day is held in second position. Alvaro Alonso goes up to the third square on the table, second on the first sleeve and first on the second.

Francisco Palacio y Diego Jiménez en Snipe, Covadonga Fernández y Carmen Simal en Feva y Gonzalo Jaudenos en Optimist, after two disputed days lead the Summer Trophy of Vela Ligera, of the Real Club Astur de Regatas.
The two sleeves were carried out under a barlovento-sotavento route, the somewhat instantaneous wind blew north with an intensity of 7 to 12 knots, plain sea and clear sky., in which it was the second day of this race.
In the Snipe class, Francisco Palacio and Diego Jiménez won the two sleeves, lead the class with three wins so far and become the great favorites to take the Trophy. The second place in the general is for, Jaime Alvarez- Hevia and Ignacio Braña with a quarter and a second place on the day. The third square of the classification is occupied, Francisco Silvela and Álvaro López quintos in the first manga and third in the second. Alvaro and Beatriz Alegría also crossed the line of arrival in the first manga.

On Saturday the Real Club Astur de Regatas with the Bay of San Lorenzo as a stage, begins its sport activity of Vela Ligera with the dispute of the first day of the Summer Trophy.
After the forced stop motivated by the Covid-19, the sailing competitions in Gijón are resumed with the celebration of the first two sleeves of the Light Sailing Summer Trophy for the classes: Optimist, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser Standard, Feva and Snipe.
On Saturday at 12.30 p.m. it is planned to give the signal of attention in the vicinity of the beach of San Lorenzo, to the first of the five days scheduled throughout the summer. Two sleeves per day, under a trapeze course, or a cane, depending on the intensity of the wind, will be held with a length per sleeve of approximately 45 minutes.
Covadonga Fernández in Optimist, Alfonso Jaudenos in Laser 4.7, Ignacio López and Diego Díaz in Feva and the couple formed by José Palacio and Alberto Suárez in Snipe, were the winners in the last edition and will again be present in the competition, where regularity again becomes a determining factor in getting into the first squares.
