As the weather was watering the day was very cloudy, with a slight rain and soft winds at first hour of the morning that were increasing as the day progressed, reaching an average of 18 knots of intensity and with tips of more than 25 at the height of Cíes, conditions that were further reduced in the middle of the afternoon for the final stretch of race.
Thus, after a few minutes of waiting on the time marked for the wind to end in the Bay of Baiona, the Regatas Committee gave the starting point at 11: 15 hours for a tour that would lead to the fleet to the beacon of the Camouco - previously passing through those of Carallones, La Negra and Cíos - and turned south to take the line of arrival finally located in front of the Cis Islands. In total, 28.8 miles of tour for a very controversial edition in which the fleet had to strive to the maximum from the first stretch and to the end of the race.
The first to cross the line of arrival was the Txole of Ignacio Sánchez and Pablo Franco (MRCYB) at the edge of 4: 00 hours, although in time the victory on this occasion was finally taken by the Okofen of Javier de la Gandara and Diego Fernández with an advantage of up to 15 minutes on the second classified and twenty on the third. With this result, from the Gandara and Fernandez were proclaimed winners with full authority of the Galician Championship of Cruises A Dos ahead of the Ay Carmela! of Juan Martínez and Ignacio Correa (C.M. Liceo de Bouzas), which was second, and of the Orion of Javier Pérez and Esteban Gañete (MRCYB), which closed the podium in the third drawer.
In addition to the autonomous title, the Baionese quote decided the winners of the MRW Trophy in the categories ORC 1, ORC 2 and J80. The victory in the category of monotypes, which was certainly one of the most difficult of the quote with just two minutes of difference between the first three teams, was for the Maija de Iñigo Alzuleta and Miguel Larrán ahead of the Cansino de Nano Yáñez and Manuel Fernández and the Picacho de Margarita Cameselle and Alberto García, second and third respectively in the general of J80. The three teams representing Mount Real.
