The Andalusian Federation of Vela, which is chaired by Paco Coro, has announced its intention to resume the competition on the weekend of 20 and 21 June in its community, which following the plans planned, is likely to be on those dates in phase 3 of the deceleration marked by the Ministry of Health.
It is already working since May 11, when Cadiz entered phase 1, the Specialized Centre for Sports Tecnification of Vela Bahia de Cadiz, which has complied with the protocols marked by the High Council of Sports, already welcomes the pre-Olympic and high-level athletes, case of Blanca Manchón, Juanma Moreno, Pablo Guitián, Fernando Martínez del Cerro or the brothers Fernando and Pilar Lamadrid; up to twenty regalsts and coaches.
Although the Andalusian federation holds all its competitions suspended until the 15th of June and the Royal Spanish Vela Federation until the 30th of the same month, the president of the territorial and vice-president of the national, is ready to lift the closure from the 16th of June to resume its Calendar of Regatas. If this end is finally confirmed, it will be a very good news for saving the summer season and a good precedent for the rest of the state.
Coro was the first to request the freedom of navigation hours during phases 1 and 2, to which finally the health authorities agreed, first the cruises and the regatists who sail alone were authorized. The double classes have yet to wait, although they are expected to be able to do so in the next few days, a fact that they have already claimed some high-level athletes who see how to gather up to ten people on the terrace of a bar, while they are not allowed to train two at sea.
