The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia has decided to cancel the 2020 edition of its most emblematic race, the Queen's Trophy, which was scheduled to be held from 2 to 7 July.

After more than thirty years celebrating this race is the first time that the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia must cancel it, keeping the one that will be the twenty-second edition next year.

The difficulty of having teams and boats from other provinces, autonomous communities or even other countries to compete in Valencian waters, together with the inability to host social events on land, has led the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia to cancel the one that has historically been its most important test, and one of the most prominent on the national scene.

The next edition of the test, which will be the XXII Trophy of La Reina - Regata Tribute to the Spanish Navy and XXXIII Copa Admiral Marcial Sanchez-Barcáiztegui, will be held in summer 2021, from 1 to 4 July.
