The Real Federacion Española de Vela has published on "social networks" that the competition she organizes has been definitively suspended or postponed until next June 30. It should be noted, however, that this decision covers only the official races at the level of the Spanish own, which has no powers in the different territories, for the purposes of the autonomous championships, races of an autonomous or local character...
We have contacted different president of various territories, and have informed us in the majority... that he has been surprised that Julia Casanueva has published this decision at two months' notice, which, while they consider it reasonable, they understand it as "something hasty..." in any case each federation will agree with its general sports management, in which it is immersed, the decisions they consider appropriate in accordance with the supreme regulations of the Ministry of Health, at every moment.
The points of the Spanish communiqué
1. To replace all the official competitions of the RFEV in all its specialities until 30 June 2020, with the exception of the virtual races organized by the Federation.
2. Coordinate with the Autonomous Federations, Organizing Clubs, Secretariat of Classes and Competitions Area of this RFEV, the possible celebration of some of these regats at later dates, as well as the possible final cancellation of others, taking into account when reprogramming, especially in children's and youth sailing, the reconciliation of the regatta calendar with the autonomous classification, school course and the calendar of international events.
3. Study in each class, the need to change the classification system of national teams for participation in international races, as well as the final composition of these teams.
4. This decision may be amended from the date indicated by the guidelines issued at each time by the sports and health authorities.
