Last hour: clarification of Marina Mercante to the path to the normality of the nautical
Benito Núñez Quintanilla, General Director of the Merchant Navy, has today written to the General Director of the National Association of Nautical Companies, Carlos Sanlorenzo... about the "request for clarification by ANEN, about the application of the known phases, towards the new normalcy" that the Government of Spain has announced this week.
This is the summary of the document, which we publish next to this urgent note, in PDF format and which is an exact copy of the original held by ANEN from this afternoon:
1) Sport or recreational navigation is not an activity linked to maritime transport.
2) The provision for the authorisation of nautical activities within phase III of that transition to new normalcy should be interpreted, according to this General Directorate of the Merchant Navy.
3) In phase 0, it will not be possible to navigate for leisure, unless it is done sportively and individually (non-professional and federated sport), as a physical activity.
4) In phase I, recreational navigation can be developed according to its consideration as active and nature tourism by limited groups (cultural and leisure activities).
5) In phase II, recreational navigation, as in phase I, is allowed recreational and sports navigation within its consideration as active and nature tourism activities for larger groups of people, already without the limitation of living in the same municipality, but in the same province.
6) In phase III, recreational water activities will already be authorised, with no limitations other than those governing in general, such as those of a geographical nature and the adoption of preventive health measures.
