Employers in the Galician nautical sector are concerned about the loss of 50% of employment and a fall in turnover of 30% of their annual amount. This was expressed to AGAN officials at a meeting held in order to analyse the current situation due to covid 19.

The loss of planned activities with schoolchildren, and with groups of older people, has had a major impact on the economies of these companies and the possible security measures that arise such as reductions in the capacity of ships, and the fall in the reserves of both national and international customers can cause an unsustainable situation for some of the companies.

The Galician Association of Nautical Activities undertook to continue the work of giving voice to the sector and of interacting with the different administrations to achieve the necessary support to overcome this very complicated situation.
