Depending on epidemiological developments and in response to the decisions and recommendations of the competent health authority, the RFEP may make other decisions by prioritizing the health of athletes (Photo RFEP)

The Spanish Federation of Piragüismo extends until June 27 the cancellation of competitions, 48 in total after adding 26 new national and 2 international tests, following the recommendations of the health authorities as a result of the evolution of the COVID-19, whose pandemic has already caused the cessation of the first 22.

The resolution adopted by the Board of Directors of the RFEP is in line with the decisions taken by the International Federation of Piragüism (ICF) and the European Association of Piragüism (ECA), with cancellations until mid-August 2020.

The postponed dates, without determining the date for a possible celebration, include the Spanish marathon championships, master marathon, free style, young free style promises, sea kayak and young kayak sea promises.

Competitions cancelled from 1 May to 27 June

- May 1: III Cup of Spain of Kayak de Mar and III National Competition of Kayak de Mar (both in La Vila Joiosa, Alicante)

- 9 and 10 May: II Cup of Spain of Marathon (Pontevedra); II Cup of Spain of Marathon Master (Pontevedra); IV Cup of Spain Olympic Slalon (Not assigned) and I Cup of Spain of Dragon Boat (Not assigned)

- 16 and 17 May: II Copa España Esprint Olympic (Verdudo, Pontevedra); II Tournament 1st sub-21 of Kayak Polo (Banyoles, Girona) and II Tournament 3rd Absolute Division (Banyoles, Girona)
