CEACNA works on the plan to reactivate water clubs after confinement

CEACNA is involved in the development of the rules of disconfinement that allow for sport navigation. These reactivation measures shall at all times be adapted to the guidelines issued by the competent authorities. The idiosyncrasy of sports nautical which makes it a low-risk sports practice in the context of the spread of the virus and therefore of the transmission of the disease will always be taken into account as a starting point.

At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs, it is committed to a return to activity for the sector gradually and in accordance with the guidelines set by the Government of Spain.

One of the actions taken is to issue a letter to the president of State Ports, in order to show the concern of the nautical clubs at national level, about the period of alarm and confinement in which the activity has been stopped as a result of the ban. The scale of the economic break-up to the nautical clubs is argued and, in this case, the measures that may help to reactivate the damaged economies of the nautical clubs will be requested.

On the other hand, in combination with ANEN and the National Federation of Sports Ports, a general plan for the opening of ports and nautical clubs will be made that will initially serve the nautical clubs that are in State Ports, as well as a support guide for the Autonomous Associations of affiliated nautical clubs to work for the implementation of the opening calendar with their respective CCAAs.

The Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations is composed of six Associations that comprise 70% of the national nautical clubs located in Andalusia, Galicia, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Murcia Region and Valencia. There are also nautical clubs in Asturias and Catalonia. As a whole, these six associations and the affiliated clubs represent a collective of more than 200,000 users among members and sports partners, and they manage more than 45,000 moorings among all their partners.
