Por parte de la IDI, se ha decidido devolver el dinero que ya habían abonado los expositores en concepto de reserva de espacio puesto que esto supondrá incrementar la liquidez de estas empresas

On the part of the IDI, it has been decided to return the money already paid by the exhibitors as a space reserve as this will increase the liquidity of these companies

The organization of the Palma International BoatShow has decided to cancel the 2020 edition of the Palma nautical fair, scheduled between 4 and 7 June at the Moll Vell de Palma. Finally, for responsibility for the situation caused by COVID- 19 and the state of alarm, the organization has considered that the fair could not be held with optimal security conditions for both exhibitors and visitors... in addition, the decision for responsibility has also been made with the nautical sector and the companies that each year participate in the fair.

Once the health emergency is over, both the conselleria and the IDI will start contacts with the nautical companies to define sectoral reactivation actions. It must be remembered that the nautical is one of the key sectors for the economic recovery of the Balearic Islands and that it will focus many of the actions of the conselleria.

From now on, both the IDI and BYBA will start working on the next edition of the fair in 2021, which will take place on traditional dates, on the May bridge. The aim is to continue to position Palma's appointment as the most important fair at the beginning of the opening of the nautical season.
