Much of the Spanish candle is very upset by the performance of the Spanish presidency

The confinement of ten Olympic regatists and five technicians at the Santander CEAR has come to an end. The athletes have been gradually leaving the facilities between 7 and 9 April after the High Council for Sports was a major one and recalling that they had warned up to four times that the athletes should be in their homes and not in the high-performance special centre.

Over the past three days, they have been gradually evicting the facilities and thus complying with Royal Decree 463 / 2020, which specifies that all sports activities, including group confinement, are prohibited. That is why other centres such as the Sant Cugat CAR and the Blume residence closed their doors without the possibility that they would stay and train any of the athletes who do it there usually.

Hence the anger of the CSD, not with the sportsmen who are exempt from any responsibility, but with the federal leaders, and in particular with President Julia Casanueva, calling the Royal Spanish Vela Federation "irresponsible" for having skipped the law at such a delicate time in the country as the state of alarm, which affects all people regardless of whether they are sportsmen or not; and of "dissolidarity" because the fact that some sailing sportsmen were training in semi-public facilities, others are not allowed and have to do so in their homes.

Casanueva had no idea but to counter the CSD by challenging the general director, Mariano Soriano. In statements to EFE, Casanueva commented that "we can be accused of many things" but without accepting "under any circumstances" of having "been irresponsible and unsupportive in confining the Olympic team at the Santander CEAR." In addition, Casanueva recognized about the conversation with Soriano that "his answer was that if something happened was under my responsibility and I reminded him that from the first moment we decided to come to the CEAR we took responsibility."

It will now be the CSD who must take the appropriate measures for Casanueva's action as the maximum responsible, after violating the Royal Decree on March 15, when the state of alarm was decreed, and that the CSD repeatedly warned that the confinement was not possible, and that the sportsmen did not leave until April 8, when according to the federation ended a 14-day quarantine after a possible positive of COVID- 19 was detected among the prisoners who were warned of the Cantabre Health Service, according to a signed by the Ministry of Health on April 5. After this situation some territorial presidents such as Ángel Puente, of the Federation of Castilla y León, requested in a hard writing, the resignation of Casanueva.
