Conclusions of the Symposium of Water Sports Federations held in Cadiz
Looking for synergies with tourism, getting water sports into school to generate quarry and promoting a maximum effort to respect and care for the environment are the three fundamental pillars in which to build the future of water sports.
The eleven federations related to water sports were recently gathered at the 1st Symposium of Water Sports Federations held in El Puerto de Santa María. If this meeting, promoted by the Spanish Association of Nautical Journalists, was already considered a success in bringing together the top exponents of these eleven sports in what was the first summit of presidents, it was not least the scale of commitments and conclusions that were obtained after two days of fruitful congress, in which José Hidalgo, as Association President, also presented the GreenSportFlag project.
Pedro Sardina, said as a journalist specialized in nautical: "For us it has been a very important act within our activity. To be able to help bring together this cast of state water sports officials was a priority for us. We want to help water sports be vertebrated between different stages and we blindly believe in this type of encounter. We already think of the 2021 edition not only because of the success of participation but also because of the conclusions obtained and also because we have all seen that together, working side by side, we can achieve the most distant goals."
