Genoa wants to be no less than Cape Town and cancels the World Cup

The decision has been made to ensure the health of the regatists, support staff, committees and volunteers, the top priority for the World Sailing
The World Sailing has announced the cancellation of the Hempel World Cup Series Genoa 2020, with dates of celebration between 11 and 19 April 2020, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in Italy, the leaders of the World Sailing have been in regular contact with the Italian Federation Vela (FIV), local organizers and the Italian Government, receiving updates and monitoring the situation. The World Sailing Medical Commission has also been consulted before taking this decision.
The Genoa Hempel World Cup Series is the last opportunity for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic classification for African, Asian and European teams on a number of scheduled tests; the International Olympic Committee has given the World Sailing an extension of the rating period until 30 June 2020... The World Sailing is working closely with IOC and event organizers to reprogram the remaining African, Asian and European Olympic ratings and to ensure that all quotas can be allocated.
