The Executive Committee of the fair held a new working meeting in Vigo

More than 400 exhibitors and 700 firms represented have confirmed their presence in Navalia that will be held in Vigo in the next month of May, in which it will be its eighth edition.

The sample will occupy about 23,000 square meters, distributed in the 1.2 and 4 (extension) pavilions plus the hall. In addition, the fair will have an outside exhibition that will be greater this time.

Concerning "Technical Days," the Executive Committee advanced an important day on the use of Reforced Fiber Polymers (FRP, Fibre- Reinforced Polymers) in the shipbuilding industry. Navalia will host FIBRESHIP 3rd Public Workshop on May 21. In this event, the different results obtained will be explained, and how these results can be used in the shipbuilding sector.

It will involve the advisory board of the project (Advisory Board made up of shipyards, shipowners, companies in the shipbuilding and compound sector, universities and research centres) and the partners involved in the consortium: TSI, COMPASS and ATEKNEA (engineering consulting); iXblue, TUCO and NAVROM (shipyards); CIMNE, VTT, TWI, University of Limerick and SOERMAR (research and technological centres); ANEK Lines, Danaos, Foinikas, IEO (shipowners) and RV (RR); and RR.

Also during the meeting Javier Arnau, director of Navalia, reported on the confirmations, to date, of the various international delegations: Colombia (Fedemetal), Greece (Hemexpo), the Netherlands (Embassy of the Netherlands in Spain), Cape Verde (Chamber Barlovent- Expomar), Paraguay (Navigation), Belgium (Embassy of Belgium in Spain) and Norway (Norwegian Hispanic Chamber).
