The Hobie Multi European Championship 2020 was presented this week in the framework of the AGM European Hobie Cat Association (EHCA) held at the Barcelona International Sailing Center

Roses Bay, on the Costa Brava, will again be the epicenter of the European sail this summer. Sant Pere Pescador, by the hand of the Ballena Alegre Sailing Club as an organizer, is preparing to host one of the most crowded light sailing events on the old continent, the Hobie Multi European Championship.

The Hobie Multi European is characterized by the wide participation of amateur regatists who share what they themselves call "Hobie way of life." During the 8 days of competition - from June 27 to July 5 - the crews of more than 100 ships from 14 countries live together and share their experiences in tourist environments such as Sant Pere Pescador, Girona, Cap de Creus, Figueres...

The director of the CV Ballena Alegre, Pep Subirats, presented to the representatives of the various European delegations the main axes of the future European Championship, highlighting in particular the experience and level of the technical team shown at the last European Championship of F18 of 2018 and the World Championship of F18 held in summer of 2019.

With the Hobie Cat European Championship, La Ballena Alegre and its entire team consolidate Sant Pere Pescador as one of the best spots to organize high-level nautical events, where the tourist and gastronomic offer complete a sports test that makes the experience of going to the event different and exceptional.

More than a hundred boats are expected from the Hobie Cat firm, which make up different classes and categories of competition, from the younger in Hobie 14, to the traditional Hobie 16 in mixed categories, Junior and Master, the fast Hobie Tiger, and the most outstanding race, which will be the Hobie 16 Open, with professional regatists of the first level.
